Job Purpose:
As the Sustainability Intern, you will support the Sustainability Lead and commercial teams in executing initiatives related to our Responsible Business Strategy. You will contribute to Haleon’s efforts to enhance environmental compliance, drive sustainability initiatives, and foster a culture of environmental and social awareness and engagement, ultimately supporting the company’s commercial growth and strategic goals. This role involves collaboration with various departments, including sales, marketing, innovation, regulatory, R&D, corporate affairs, commercial excellence, among many others.

Compliance and Regulatory Support: Conduct research, perform analysis, and engage in activities with the Environmental Compliance Working Group to support compliance and regulatory initiatives. Sustainability Champion Program: Assist in executing the Sustainability Champion Program to drive change management, embed sustainability in the Canada BU’s operations, support workstream priorities, and coordinate capability-building workshops. Commercial Growth Initiatives: Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Innovation, and other commercial teams to support growth initiatives, focusing on retailer partnerships, consumer education, and product development. Employee Engagement Programs: Help administer environmental sustainability awareness and engagement programs, develop and execute an integrated communications strategy, and organize quarterly Lunch & Learns and other employee awareness events. Data Management and Reporting: Support data management and reporting related to packaging footprint, manage systems for tracking compliance metrics, assist with data collection and analysis, generate reports for decision-making, and track the progress of Responsible Business KPIs. Cross-Departmental Communication: Ensure effective communication and coordination among different teams to align efforts, track progress, and achieve strategic objectives.Basic Qualifications:
Must be available for the total duration of the 8 or 12-month contract Enrolled (or graduated within last two years) in a bachelor’s program in business, environmental, sustainability, or a related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.) Experience in project management with strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail. Ability to collect, analyze and interpret data. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with or interest in sustainability practices and principles, including knowledge of environmental sustainability regulations and corporate programs.#LI-HYBRID
