Senior LitigationLegal Assistant

Ourclient a leading law firm is looking for a proactive and diligentindividual to support its teams in litigation cases economic crimesand business criminal law. You will hold a central role byproviding varied administrative support that facilitates the dailywork of attorneys. From preparing legal documents to managingcommunications and organizing meetings you will directly contributeto the smooth operations and success of the firms most strategiclegalprojects

Whatis in it foryou:

Competitive salary: Between $70.000 and $78.000 peryear.
Permanent fulltimeposition: 35 hours per week.
Flexible schedule: Monday through Friday with possible work hoursfrom 8 am to 4 pm 8:30 am to 4:30 pm or 9 am to 5pm.
Hybrid work: 3 days in theoffice and 2 days working from home. Wednesday is mandatory in theoffice with the freedom to choose the other two days ofpresence.
Group insurance:Comprehensive coverage including dental care glasses and mentalhealth support up to $3000 with family coverage fully funded by theemployer.
Wellness program:Reimbursement of up to $750 for teleworking equipment (headphonesApple Watch etc.).
Training: $700reimbursement per year for professional development and inpersontraining 4 days a week.
Retirement savings plan (RRSP): Employer contribution of 2% afterone year of seniority.
Vacation:4 weeks of leave from the start prorated to the monthsworked.

Responsibilities:

Youwill play a key role in the daily management of litigationactivities economic crimes government investigations and businesscriminal law. By providing essential administrative and secretarialsupport you will enable legal professionals to fully focus on theirclients. Your responsibilities will include correspondencepreparing legal documents organizing meetings and muchmore.

SecretarialandCorrespondence:

Drafting and revising correspondence legal opinions proceduresagreements and other legaldocuments.
Transcription fromtapes handwritten notes and telephonemessages.
Document comparisonusing Workshare mail tracking and archivemanagement.
Photocopying scanningand exchanging correspondence with legal professionals andclients.

Supportfor LegalProcedures:

Formatting procedures and legalmemos.
Coordinating with bailiffsand court reporters for service filings and other courtrequirements.
Tracking courtschedules calculating deadlines and updatingfiles.
Preparing and managingprocedure binders and authoritiesbooks.

FileManagement:

Filing documents opening and labeling folders andbinders.
Archiving inactive filesand opening files with conflict checks inNBI.

CommunicationManagement:

Managing incoming calls and tracking calls forprofessionals.
Organizingmeetings and video conferences booking conference rooms andorderingmeals.

VariedAdministrativeSupport:

Managing agendas and calendars via Outlook as well as electronicfiling of emails.
Booking travelhotels and restaurants for businesstrips.

ConferencesandSeminars:

Preparing approval memos managing preliminary budgets andregistering professionals.
Finalizing expense notes and postevent reimbursementrequests.

Whatyou will need tosucceed:

8 years of experience in a similar legal administrativeposition.
Proficiency inMicrosoft tools (Outlook OnePlace PowerPoint) as well asWorkshare.
Ability to managemultiple tasks simultaneously in a demandingenvironment.
Excellent mastery ofthe French and English languages both spoken and written toconverse with Englishspeaking and Frenchspeakingclients.
