Job Overview


Clyde & Co is a leading global law firm seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Counsel to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing litigation files and providing counsel and legal advice in various fields.



About the Role

Estimated Salary:
$140,000 - $200,000 per year

As a Senior Litigation Counsel, you will work closely with experts to prepare and present clients' positions, conduct research, and draft court documents. You will also be responsible for managing case strategies, coordinating with clients, and collaborating with other lawyers and experts.



Responsibilities


  • Manage litigation files from start to finish, including conducting research, drafting court documents, and presenting cases in court
  • Provide counsel and legal advice to clients on various legal matters, including construction, civil, and professional liability
  • Work closely with experts to prepare and present clients' positions, including preparing witnesses and developing case strategies
  • Conduct research and stay up-to-date on changes in the law that may impact clients' cases
  • Draft court documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
  • Collaborate with other lawyers and experts to develop case strategies and manage client relationships


Requirements


  • Law degree from a reputable university
  • Member in good standing of the Barreau du Québec
  • 3-8 years of relevant litigation experience, particularly in insurance law, construction, commercial litigation, and professional liability
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in both spoken and written English and French
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Sound judgment and legal reasoning, with the ability to analyze complex information and make informed decisions
  • Integrity, rigor, and attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work products
  • Talent for negotiation and business acumen, with the ability to develop trusted connections with clients and other external stakeholders
  • Ability to develop strategy and collaborate with others to achieve goals
