Clyde & Co is a leading global law firm, specializing in insurance, transport, construction, energy, trade, and commodities. We are seeking a skilled Senior Litigation Attorney to join our team.

About the Role

We offer a competitive salary of $160,000 - $220,000 per year, depending on experience.

As a Senior Litigation Attorney, you will be responsible for conducting and managing litigation files, providing counsel and legal advice, working with experts, and drafting proceedings and applications to the Court.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct and manage litigation files as part of our team of lawyers and clients;
  • Provide counsel and legal advice in various fields, including construction, civil, and professional liability;
  • Work closely with experts to prepare and present client positions;
  • Understand and summarize complex legal and factual matters;
  • Draft proceedings, petitions, factums, and other applications to the Court;
  • Introduce and defend petitions and applications to the Court and participate in mediation and trials;
Essential Skills & Experience
  • A degree in civil law from a reputable university;
  • A member in good standing of the Barreau du Québec;
  • 3 to 8 years of relevant litigation experience, particularly in insurance law, construction, commercial litigation, and professional liability;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English and French;
  • Strong analytical and summarization skills;
  • Sound judgment and legal reasoning;
  • Integrity, rigor, and attention to detail;
  • Talent for negotiation and business acumen;
  • Ability to develop trusted connections with clients and stakeholders;
