The Nursing Clinician provides and coordinates nursing practice activities such as patient assessment, patient and family teaching and health promotion activities in a defined clinical area, consistent with established policies, standards of practice and philosophy at British Columbia’s Children’s Hospital.

Qualifications
Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as an RN with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Three (3) years’ recent related clinical nursing experience which includes ambulatory care or community health service experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.You will also have:
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Ability to relate effectively to children and their families. Ability to make decisions in an independent manner in a clinical setting. Ability to function as an active member of a multi-disciplinary team and function as a nursing resource. Physical ability to perform the duties of the job. Ability to operate related equipment personal computer). Awareness of and commitment to learning and understanding the Truth & Reconciliation Commission’s 94 Calls to Action (2015), In Plain Sight Report (2020), BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019), and other related reports. Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC (2015) and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019).
