We’re currently hiring for a Short Haul Driver for our Regina Shipping department. This position will be approximately a 1 year contract ending in January this role, you’ll be challenged to think on your feet, learn on the job and get a little bit better each and every day, with the support of a team that always has your back. There’s more to any job than words on a page, but the focus of this role is to deliver our product within the Regina area and will provide above average customer service. On any given day, the Short Haul Driver is responsible for:

Operating a 5 ton truck in a safe and responsible manner for loading or unloading at docks Ensure safe transport of product and safe operation of truck between company and delivery site and complete appropriate paperwork Communicate with the customers and maintain positive relationships ensuring customer satisfaction

Valid Alberta Class 5 license 2-3 years’ related driving experience, including driving and maneuvering vehicles, backing up to load and unload product and defensive driving techniques Must be able to perform heavy lifting of 100 lbs Experience with loading/unloading product. Experience operating similar heavy equipment and air brakes Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English in a professional manner Ability to think independently and solve problems Ability to visualize spatially while safely driving trucks Ability to follow directions and operational procedures, including following safety protocols Ability to actively listen to what is being communicated by others and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding Ability to stay calm during conflict or stressful situations Ability to work with integrity and honesty, taking responsibility and accountability for own actions Must have solid customer service skills Must pass pre-employment Drug & Alcohol Testing Must pass pre-employment Physical Testing Must be willing to provide a satisfactory Drivers Abstract
