Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at ATL Heavy Haul Inc. As a key member of our transportation department, you will be responsible for transporting heavy equipment across the country.

Job Description:
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of heavy equipment.
  • Load and unload goods, adhering to safety protocols and company procedures.
  • Oversee the condition of your vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs, utilizing your technical skills to get back on the road quickly.
  • Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections, verifying all aspects of your vehicle before each journey.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch, maintaining open communication with our logistics team.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, providing accurate data for future planning.
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo during transport.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Valid Class 1 or A Driver's License.
  • Excellent oral communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to travel cross-border, internationally, and for extended periods.
  • Ability to sit for long periods, with attention to detail and the capacity for repetitive tasks.
  • Organized and reliable, with a strong focus on safety and adherence to company policies.
