Fall 2024 Internship Opportunity

 

The purpose of this internship is to prepare university students for entry into the business world by providing a thorough understanding of the various functions of the Zebra Technologies organization to include theory and practical application of attained knowledge. Project work will differ in each area depending on business needs and all interns will participate in the Zebra Internship Program. The program is designed to provide you with a full experience so that you can fully envision a career with Zebra. You be positioned for success with training, exposure to all parts of the business, social activities, a professional mentor relationship and development sessions to help you discover your own performance edge

 

This is a hybrid role and the intern is required to work in the Dorval, Quebec, Canada office a minimum of three days a week.

 

This internship runs from September 3rd, 2024 through December 20th, 2024.

Opportunité de stage automne 2024 

 

Le but de ce stage est de préparer les étudiants universitaires à entrer dans le monde des affaires en fournissant une compréhension approfondie des différentes fonctions de l'organisation Zebra Technologies pour inclure la théorie et l'application pratique des connaissances acquises. Le travail du projet variera dans chaque domaine en fonction des besoins de l'entreprise et tous les stagiaires participeront au programme de stages Zebra. Le programme est conçu pour vous offrir une expérience complète afin que vous puissiez envisager pleinement une carrière chez Zebra. Vous êtes positionné pour réussir avec la formation, l'exposition à toutes les parties de l'entreprise, les activités sociales, une relation de mentorat professionnel et des séances de développement pour vous aider à découvrir votre propre avantage de performance 

 

Il s'agit d'un rôle hybride et le stagiaire est tenu de travailler au bureau de Dorval, Québec, Canada au moins trois jours par semaine.

 

Ce stage se déroule du 3 septembre 2024 au 20 décembre 2024.


Responsibilities:
  • Develop planning, organizational and time management skills.
  • Increase technology knowledge and skills.
  • Develop team-based work competencies.
  • Develop interpersonal skills to communicate with employees.
  • Develop interpersonal skills to communicate with day-to-day business contacts through follow up activities.
  • Develop interpersonal skills to communicate with external and external customers.
  • As part of the internship, you will have exposure to the following areas – 
    • Will work on Object Oriented Windows desktop application using C#/ C++
    • Work on developing object-oriented APIs to automate extraction of information from XML files to generate code.
    • Work on some tools to be developed for the future work, writing a software that helps to the team to develop faster.

  • Dans le cadre du stage, vous serez exposé aux domaines suivants :
    • Fonctionnera sur l'application de bureau Windows orientée objet en utilisant C# / C++
    • Travailler sur le développement d'API orientées objet pour automatiser l'extraction d'informations à partir de fichiers XML pour générer du code.
    • Travaillez sur certains outils à développer pour le travail futur, en écrivant un logiciel qui aide l'équipe à se développer plus rapidement.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications: 

  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree in Software Engineering/ Computer Engineering or Computer science.
  • Good foundation in programming using C++, C#.
  • Intellectual curiosity with a strong desire to learn and grow.
  • Proven leadership and excellence in professional, academic and/or extracurricular experiences
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate as part of a team
  • Fluency in French and English
  • Must be authorized to work in the Canada on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Experience with Python
  • Exposure/Experience with XML
