Outside Sales Representative
Please note: We are not looking to hire outside Hamilton or the GTA for this role.

We are currently seeking a motivated, self-driven Sales Representative to prospect and generate new business while completing residential site visits and prepare proposals for incoming leads. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new opportunities and building our Contractor/Dealer network. This is an excited opportunity to work with a great team selling quality products, our company will provide the following to the qualified candidate:

Core Responsibilities:
  • Process incoming leads
  • Residential/Commercial Site visits to assess, measure, design, prepare proposal and close the sale
  • Maintain a well-developed pipeline
  • Services existing commercial accounts.
  • Organizing daily work schedule.
  • Meeting company mandated profit margins
  • Meet/exceed assigned sales targets
  • Schedule meetings and presentations with prospective Contractors, Dealers, Architects and Designers
  • Track all sales activities in CRM system and keep current by updating account information daily.
  • Develop strong, ongoing relationships with prospects and customers
  • Follow current company policies, procedures, and pricing.
  • Clearly communicate activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.

Secondary Responsibilities:
  • Communicate customer and prospect product pain points to appropriate departments
  • Coordinate with team members and departments to optimize the sales effort
  • Suggest / recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Potential travel to the USA for business development meetings and closing business.

Qualifications:
  • Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • 5 - 10 years of sales experience
  • Proven math skills for calculating proposals
  • Ability to read CAD Drawings and familiarity with Estimating Take-off software an asset
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales quotas
  • Proven track record of successfully managing customer relationships
  • Construction background is an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Strong communication ( verbal, written, presentation ) skills
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems
  • Negotiation/Closing skills
  • Prospecting ( cold calling )  skills
Education: Preferred Post Secondary Education in business or marketing – Certifications in Sales Training.
