About the Role

HelloFresh Canada is looking for an Inventory Specialist to manage our inventory and warehouse processes and controls in our DC. Reporting into the Warehouse Manager, your focus is to ensure all direct and indirect materials inventory movements, quantities, and quality are tracked accurately at all times. 

What you will be doing:

Maintain real-time and accurate inventory records and visibility by ensuring SOPs and controls are executed in all warehouse activities and material flow Manage and direct warehouse associates for inventory tasks, including cycle counts, stock transfers, and material movements. Support warehouse supervisors on coverage when needed, ensuring smooth operation of inventory-related functions during their absence. Assist in training warehouse personnel on inventory procedures, systems, and equipment to maintain high standards of accuracy and efficiency. Liaise with Finance, Ops and Supply Chain teams in developing and publishing weekly inventory metrics Investigate inventory discrepancies, conduct root cause analysis, and provide explanations and corrective actions to inventory variances  Conduct cycle counts and lead DC-specific initiatives to improve inventory accuracy Coordinate with Planning to conduct ABC inventory analysis, improve cycle count efficiency and accuracy, and storage utilization Ensure compliance of warehouse and inventory processes and procedures in the Distribution Centres Support warehouse projects, system implementations and process improvements Collaborate with Site Leader and Supply Chain teams on consumables budget, inventory, and fulfillment Work in compliance with OH&S acts and regulations.  Use personal protective and safety equipment and clothing as directed by the employer and report workplace hazards and dangers to the supervisor or employer. Other duties as assigned

At a minimum, you have: 

4+ years inventory, warehousing, manufacturing and/or supply chain experience with a Bachelor’s in Engineering, Business or a related field Strong analytical, problem solving, and Excel skills Energy, enthusiasm, and a can-do attitude. Used to working in a high pressure, fast paced, and constantly changing environment Drive and self-motivation. We seek a potential leader who competes to win and have the burning desire to make a meaningful difference in our business and lives of our employees An effective collaborator, who empowers and enables others to share ideas, raises awareness, gets buy-in, and delivers fast and well-rounded solutions to complex problems Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments able to prioritize and meet budgets deadlines and achieve objectives; Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information Professional certifications and/or licenses with Lean Six Sigma preferred Availability to work weekend schedules and cold facilities Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Suite (Calendar, Gmail, Docs, Sheets), and video conferencing (Hangouts Meet)
