We are currently looking for a Junior Environmental Scientist/Engineer to join our team in our Fredericton office.
Main responsibilities
Perform Phase I to Phase III Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs); Coordinate and conduct field activities that include sampling of groundwater, soil, soil vapour, sediment, and/or surface water; Perform oversight of excavation and drilling activities; Implement and enforce health and safety plans on construction sites; Supervision of the activities of site personnel as well as those of subcontractors; Interact with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies; Project task coordination and ability to oversee projects, implement field work, and report to project team; Assist with report writing and proposal development for submission to provincial and federal regulatory authorities; and, Support Project Managers on various environmental and industrial projects.Training and skills
. in Civil or Environmental Disciplines, or . (preferably in Environmental related field). 0-2 years of relevant experience. A comprehensive understanding and experience working on a Federal properties and/or knowledge of the FCSAP process would be a great asset. Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. Excellent technical writing skills. Bilingual capabilities considered an asset. Possession of a valid driver's license and a personal vehicle. Autonomous, methodical, responsible, resourceful and punctual person. Attention to detail. Ability to analyze and synthesize. Available for variable hours.
