The Computed Tomography department at the Royal Alexandra Hospital is a fast-paced environment providing support to Trauma Services, Thoracic Surgery, ICU, and several other programs. Patients come through the Emergency Department, Inpatient units, and outpatient referral

Description:

As a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) II, you will perform specialized technical radiological imaging examinations on patients for the purpose of disease and pathology diagnosis. You may perform specialized diagnostic imaging procedures for Physician/Radiologist review, interpret physician requisitions and assist with the care and maintenance of imaging equipment.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, NetCare, and PAC. Demonstrated excellent skills in interpersonal, written/oral communication. Proven judgment and decision-making. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently with attention to detail and accuracy. Experience with procedures (drains, Traumas, Biopsies). Ability to work in stressful situations and a desire to further my knowledge and performance relating to the field. Must be able to work with various health disciplines and demonstrate respect and partnership. Able to provide excellent care and service to patients. Must be able to complete all components of OHS job - pushing/pulling, bending, reaching, twisting, and lifting/carrying/transferring patients and supplies. Wearing Lead

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience working in Computed Tomography in a trauma center. Experience working on scanners by various vendors (, GE, Toshiba, and Siemens). Connect Care knowledge.
