Description:

As a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) I, you will be responsible for the daily processing, testing, results analysis and reporting of diagnostic samples within the laboratory department. You will perform a variety of routine and specialized procedures in the processing of specimens used in diagnosis, treatment and research.

Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program.Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Graduate of a recognized school of Medical Laboratory Technology or Science required with evidence of appropriate certification from the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Sciences. College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA) registration with a current CMLTA practice permit. Security Level II and Level III clearance is required to be able to work in a Containment Level 3 Laboratory.

Preferred Qualifications:

One to two years of bacteriology experience within the last five years in a Diagnostic or Public Health Microbiology Laboratory. Experience with the EPIC Beaker/Connect Care.
