The Glenn Gould School is seeking a Flute Instructor to begin in Fall 2025. As a leading performance school of its kind in Canada, this position is an opportunity to work with some of the finest young talents of our time. Glenn Gould School students participate in 24 weeks of classes and receive 36 hours of private lessons during the academic year.
Job Requirements
What We're Looking For
Significant experience performing with premier symphony orchestras in North America, preferably in a role such as Principal Flute. A proven track record as a successful performing artist of solo and chamber works, with expertise in a wide range of repertoire. Master’s degree in flute performance. Experience teaching flute and as a master class clinician. Extensive knowledge of chamber repertoire of a wide range of skill and genre. Ability to recruit new students is a plus. Effective communicator. A team player, interested in contributing to the community and culture of the RCM.
