3.Summary of theopportunity
Client Overview: The Coalition is a Microsoft firstpartydevelopment studio located in Vancouver Canada. As the officialhome of the Gears of War franchise they aim to push the limits ofMicrosofts entertainment platforms anddevices.
Role Summary: As aMidLevel Level Artist you will partner with various teams to bringthe artistic vision to life by creating visually stunning andhighquality levels. You will collaborate with the Level Design Teamother artists and follow the guidance of art direction to meet thestudiosgoals.
4.What are the keyresponsibilities
Uphold the values of The Coalition Art Team and contribute to apositive and inclusive culture.
Produce highquality artwork and stay updated with current level artcreation workflows and industrytrends.
Collaborate with ArtLeads and Level Art team members to achieve the artistic vision andmaintain visual quality andconsistency.
Work closely withthe Level Design Team to solve art and design challenges and ensurelevels are playable andperformant.
Provide detailedbreakout sheets and communicate environment set requirements to theEnvironment Art Team.
Communicatedependencies blockers and crossdepartment challenges to theProduction Team and ArtLeads.
5.What experience are we looking for to drivesuccess
MUSTHave Skills andQualifications:
A portfolioshowcasing highquality environment and levelartwork.
Minimum of 3 years ofexperience in environment/level art with at least one shippedtitle.
Strong time managementskills and ability to work well withdeadlines.
Proficiency in levelcreation methods using Unreal Engine or a similar gameengine.
Strong working knowledgeof Maya (preferred) or similar 3D modeling software SubstancePhotoshop andZBrush.
Preferred Skills andQualifications:
Experience withmodular kit Unreal and environmentart.
Familiarity with consolegames and AAA gamedevelopment.
