RECL 1P99 Leadership in Parks, Recreation and Leisure Services

Lecture Monday 1400-1600

Compensation

Effective September 1, 2023 - $7, per half course (195 hours nominally)
Effective September 1, 2023 - $14, per full course (390 hours nominally)
Please note: Instructors who are employed in a 2-hour/week lecture, or the equivalent of a 2-hour/week lecture, are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course.

Duties

Duties and responsibilities will be in accordance with Article of the Collective Agreement. These include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time (preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading and course administration, including grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty).

Qualifications

1. in Recreation and Leisure Studies (or student/candidate in Recreation and Leisure Studies). After the deadline, if no qualified student/candidate applications have been received, we will then consider applicants with a Master's degree.

2. Demonstrated experience working in leadership capacities in one or more recreation contexts (, not for profit, municipal recreation, camp director, social services, etc.).

3. Evidence of competent and effective teaching experience at the university level.
