RECL 4P43 – Gender, Leisure and Families

Lecture Thursday 900-1200

Compensation

Effective September 1, 2023 - $7, per half course (195 hours nominally)
Effective September 1, 2023 - $14, per full course (390 hours nominally)
Please note: Instructors who are employed in a 2-hour/week lecture, or the equivalent of a 2-hour/week lecture, are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course.

Duties

Duties and responsibilities will be in accordance with Article of the Collective Agreement. These include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time (preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading and course administration, including grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty).

Qualifications

1. in Recreation and Leisure Studies (or student/candidate in Recreation and Leisure Studies) or closely related field. After the deadline, if no qualified student/candidate applications have been received, we will then consider applicants with a Master's degree.

2. Expertise in gender and family studies as it applies to recreation and leisure.

3. Strong connections to community partners are desirable.

4. Evidence of competent and effective teaching experience at the university level.
