Job Responsibilities:


• Financial Reporting and Analysis: You will oversee and validate the accuracy of key financial documents and ensure all financial analysis and reporting tasks adhere stringently to timeliness and accuracy standards.

• Strategic Financial Oversight: The role includes the preparation and presentation of quarterly and annual external financial reports, as well as reviewing these reports with the clients to identify required corrective actions.

• Financial Modelling and Budgeting: Develop, manage, and update complex financial models for various stakeholders and assist with the preparation, presentation and monitoring of detailed annual budgets and long-term monthly forecasts.

• Process Improvement and Standardization: Identify and execute opportunities to standardize data reporting and internal controls, refine processes to enhance efficiency of data handling, reporting mechanisms, workflows, and procedures.

• Funding and Compliance: Collaborate closely with the project management and treasury teams to coordinate the quarterly debt and equity draw processes.

• Stakeholder Management: Enhance and manage relationships with key external stakeholders.

• Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of improvement within the project delivery process, ensuring employee feedback is incorporated into new initiatives.


Key requirements


• IFRS reporting experience from a public company environment is required

• A minimum of 3 years hands-on FP& A/financial modelling experience in a Sr analyst capacity

• At least 5 years of post-designation (Canadian CPA) experience working as a Finance lead on projects

• Experience in managing capital expenditure for expansive projects with a large scope

• Experience with BI tool will be considered an asset

• Experience working within public practice as well as industry will be an asset


Ideal Candidate Profile:


We are looking for candidates that are flexible, meticulous, able to adapt to shifting priorities, comfortable in a dynamic work environment and possess outstanding communication skills. Experience with business development and/or client/portfolio management would be a significant plus.


Work Arrangement:


This role is fully remote with occasional travel to the client’s location in British Columbia once or twice per year, with corresponding travel expenses to be discussed. The work hours are 8 am to 5 pm PST.


Compensation and Benefits:


We offer a competitive salary range of $120-160K. Additionally, we offer a distinct benefits package that includes a Canadian Benefit Plan, RRSP matching, CPA dues & PD Support, 3 weeks standard vacation, and potential for a discretionary year-end bonus.
