Responsibilities
ABOUT THE JOB:
The aim of Global Business Technology & Operations (GBTO) Canada is to deliver day-to-day services to Société Générale investment and corporate bank units and their clients to accelerate their transformation. GBTO differentiates itself from competitors with the pace of the agile transformation delivered, spreading the technology and data culture, shortening the decision-making process, and adopting a true industrial approach, leveraging on different teams either transversal or aligned to the different sub business units.
Our Team (XRM/CCR - Counterpart and Credit Risk) is actively involved in designing, deploying, and supporting local applications within the Credit Risk chain. The current position is in Montreal, and the selected resource will join a team of approximately 5 members. They will collaborate closely with the extended team based in New York, creating a total team size of 10 collaborators.
The Montreal team is involved in various local applications and contributes to global application support, particularly in the CVAR chain (target and legacy) and its downstream applications. In addition to the global chain contribution, the candidate will be asked to contribute to the local American scope, particularly in infrastructure management.
What will be your DAY-TO-DAY?
Your daily responsibilities within this context will include:
· Monitoring and taking necessary actions to ensure the proper functioning of our global CCR chain
· Mentoring the team currently known as the "Bangalore Night Shift," responsible for managing the global chain
· Addressing any infrastructure and security vulnerabilities on local machines
· Improving business partner relationships by proposing technical or functional solutions related to counterparty risk, whether at the global or local level
· Ensuring adherence to the agile and continuous delivery methodology
· Coordinating and executing phases in different environments, presenting test results to users
Profile required
Skills and Qualifications:
What does it take to get the job?
· Minimum one experience in a financial institution as a Software Engineer
· Ability to read/update shell scripts and execute GUIX commands
· Comfortable managing multiple priorities, assignments, and projects
· Bilingualism (English/French) would be considered an asset
· Comfortable acting as the point of contact for Paris and Bangalore support peers
· Strong desire to learn and contribute solutions and ideas to the team
Must Have:
Knowledge in Investment Banking Proficiency in SQL with the ability to read and produce queries/stored procedures Experience with Reporting tools (, PowerBI) Experience with scripting developmentNice to Have:
Knowledge of US or international financial regulations Experience with concepts and literature related to Credit and Counterparty RiskLANGUAGE:
Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
