NATURE OF THE WORK
The pedagogical consultant participates in carrying out the educational project and the special projects of educational
institutions; you will participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of their success plan, while complying with
the academic and administrative requirements of both the educational institutions and the school board. In addition, you will
be required to:
• Contribute to the implementation of programs of study and training notably the renewal of General Adult Education,
provide advice to the teachers and administration concerning the interpretation of those programs, design and lead
training workshops and sessions on program components; collaborate in developing learning situations and support
experimentation in class.
• Provide teachers with learning evaluation tools and guide them in the design, preparation or adaptation of evaluation
tools.
• Work with a multidisciplinary team to draw up and review the individualized education plan of a handicapped student
or a student with social maladjustments or learning difficulties; participate in defining intervention objectives and means
• Advise management, teaching or professional staff on matters pertaining to professional development programs, plan
the programs and evaluate the results.
• Analyze and recommend the purchase of learning materials, supplementary materials, equipment, software and
program packages, and provide advice on room layouts.
• Prepare and deliver training and information workshops on components of the program for integrating technology.
• Collaborate with school resources, partner organizations and the Ministère de l’Éducation (MEQ) and ensure the
promotion of the school board to the social and economic partners and draw up an appropriate promotional plan.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree; notably Education.
• Hold a permanent teaching diploma (brevet d’enseignement) issued by the Ministère de l’Éducation (MEQ).
• Master the English language and have the ability to function effectively in French.
• Possess a sound understanding of the education reform in general and in the Québec Education Program in particular.
