Killam Apartment REIT (TSX: ), based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is one of Canada’s largest residential property owners, owning, operating, managing, and developing a diverse portfolio of apartments, commercial properties (totaling 1.2M square feet), manufactured homes, and seasonal properties.

We are currently searching for a professional Commercial Leasing Representative to support our Commercial Leasing team. 

In this role, the Commercial Leasing Representative : 

•Participates in the daily activities of commercial leasing operations in accordance with organization policies and standards. 

•Reviews and negotiates new lease transactions and agreements and prepares relevant documentation.

•Administers all existing tenancy agreements, including renewals.

•Assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve efficiency and profitability of the division. 

•Monitors trends for competition in the marketplace. 

•Assists in the marketing of each property and ensures accurate and timely updates are made to all collateral, websites, etc.

•Maintains a network of local, regional, and national retail contacts and brokers.

•Coordinates with operational departments as required.

•Completes related administration.

Additional information about this role : 

•This is a full-time, in-office position.

•The role is based in Halifax, with some travel required. 

The preferred qualifications include :

•Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma equivalent. 

•A Nova Scotia real estate license. 

•Minimum 2 – 4 years of experience in leasing, property management, or a related field.
