Trans Mountain Corporation operates Canada’s only pipeline system transporting oil products to the West Coast. We deliver approximately 890,000 barrels of petroleum products each day through a dual pipeline system of more than 1,150 kilometres of pipeline in Alberta, British Columbia and Washington state.
Trans Mountain also operates a state-of-the-art loading facility, Westridge Marine Terminal, with three berths providing tidewater access to global markets.

A Trans Mountain Instrumentation Technician will be expected to provide Operational Support in a multi-skilled work environment that promotes public safety, environmental stewardship and pipeline integrity.
In this role, a technician would be required to utilize maintenance tracking software to document calibration and functionality testing as completed on protective devices, custody transfer instrumentation and pipeline equipment used for both personal and equipment safety. The technician would also be expected to work in both Operations and other trades designations as suitably trained and competent.

Requirements:
High School completion. Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a related field. Journeyman Instrumentation Certificate - Interprovincial Standard (IP) is required. Journeyman Electrician Red Seal Certificate would be an asset. Understanding of Canadian Electrical Code requirements, Process Control and Hydro Test fundamentals are required. Commissioning and Start-Up experience would be an asset. Maintain a high regard for personal safety, safety of company assets and employees, and the general public. Availability to be on call as part of an on-call rotation. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. Must be a team player with a positive attitude. Self-motivated, capable of performing tasks with minimal supervision. Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Attention to detail is critical. Ability to work well under pressure and handle strict deadlines. Strong organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. In Alberta, the pipeline system spans the traditional territories of Treaty 6, 7 and 8, and the Métis Nation of Alberta (Zone 4).
In British Columbia, the system crosses the traditional territories of numerous First Nations that are affiliated with the Secwepemc, Dakelh (Carrier), Nlaka'pamux, Syilx/Okanagan, Interior and Coast Salish, Stó:lo, as well as the Métis.
Trans Mountain also operates through 15 First Nation Reserves located within the region spanning the BC interior through Fraser Valley.
