Your Opportunity:
Reporting to the Manager, East Edmonton Family Care and Urgent Care Clinics, this positions functions as part of a multidisciplinary team within both the Family Care and the Urgent Care Clinics at the East Edmonton Health Centre. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) utilizes the nursing process, critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills to provide care to individuals across the life span. Actively participates in program and development and evaluation, and clinical teaching activities. The LPN performs restricted activities and works to their fullest scope of practice within their team assignment in the Family Care and Urgent Care Clinics.
Description:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.
Required Qualifications:Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications:Ability to manage time and resources, implementing activities to promote cooperation among relevant others, collaboration across disciplines and related activities. Possess a sound understanding of the community and the determinants of health and have working knowledge of Connect Care.
