National Sales Manager, Oncology

Eli Lilly Canada is currently searching for an engaging, inclusive, high performing sales leader, to lead the Oncology Sales Team.

Travel requirement-50%

As the National Sales Manager, Oncology, you will set the bar high, as the champion for our customers and a source of energy and passion for our sales team. You will create a high performing team culture focused on the delivery of exceptional customer experiences. You will be responsible for developing the sales team including recruiting and hiring members when needed. You will work to coach and engage our sales consultants, provide opportunities to develop skills and hold the team accountable for the delivery of the sales plan. You will create well-designed district action plans that set high expectations for your team, and you will monitor progress towards these goals. 

You will have an active role in positively contributing to success across the entire business. You will effectively work and communicate cross-functionally within the organization and with key external healthcare providers and stakeholders. As a member of the Sales Leadership Team, you will take an active role in contributing to people development, human resource planning and capability development for the entire sales team.

Specifically, the National Sales Manager, Oncology is responsible for:

Delivering the Lilly Canada Oncology sales plan in an ethical manner respecting the compliance environment and the core Lilly values.

Recruiting, retaining, and developing sales team members

Creating a high performing team culture in which all employees feel valued, heard, and respected regardless of their diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and social identities

Coaching the team to high performance through development of selling skills and a focus on executional excellence of sales and marketing strategies

Tracking and evaluating execution to ensure optimal field activity to grow customer engagement across multiple channels, leading to growing customer loyalty and brand uptake in the appropriate patients

Developing district action plans that are aligned to the district goals and business unit strategy

Engaging and recognizing the team

Leadership of all district sales meetings and partnership in the cross functional team meetings

Representing the sales team in annual human resource planning activities (performance calibration, development, performance management etc.)

Ensuring that sales insights are brought into the customer planning process and other strategic initiatives

Management of the overall district sales budgets

Leadership in engagement with key thought leaders, and external stakeholders

Driving innovative thinking across the sales team to respond to the changing environment

Ensuring that the team understands the current compliance environment and operates within the guidelines and hold the team accountable for any deviations from the guidelines

Challenging processes at Lilly Canada to improve our responsiveness to customers and ensuring that we optimize our efficiency

Requirements:

University degree, prefer graduate degree in science and/or business

Experience in pharmaceutical sales/sales leadership, with a preference for Oncology

Experience leading a team is preferred

Demonstrated coaching and people development skills

Demonstrated creativity in problem solving and customer solutions

Strong analytical skills-strategic territory management experience is an asset

Demonstrated thought leader management capability

Ability to work effectively across the organization

Fully bilingual (French and English) preferred

Additional Information

Responsabilités

Eli Lilly Canada est actuellement à la recherche d’un chef des ventes cordial, inclusif et très performant pour diriger son équipe de vente en oncologie.

Le chef national des ventes placera la barre haute en se faisant le champion de nos clients et en étant un exemple d’énergie et de passion pour notre équipe de vente.

Le titulaire du poste créera une culture d’équipe très performante axée sur la fourniture d’une expérience client exceptionnelle. Il sera responsable du développement de l’équipe de vente, y compris du recrutement et de l’embauche de membres au besoin. Il s’efforcera d’encadrer et de mobiliser nos conseillers aux ventes en leur offrant des occasions de perfectionner leurs compétences et fera participer activement l’équipe à l’exécution du plan de vente. Il devra élaborer avec soin des plans d’action de district qui établissent des attentes élevées pour son équipe, et surveiller les progrès réalisés vers l’atteinte de ces objectifs.

Il jouera un rôle actif en contribuant positivement au succès de l’ensemble de l’entreprise. Le titulaire du poste doit travailler et communiquer efficacement avec les membres des équipes interfonctionnelles au sein de l’organisation et avec les principaux professionnels de la santé et intervenants externes. En tant que membre de l’équipe de direction des ventes, il contribuera activement au perfectionnement du personnel, à la planification des ressources humaines et au développement des capacités de l’ensemble de l’équipe de vente.

Plus précisément, le chef national des ventes, Oncologie est responsable de ce qui suit :

Exécuter le plan de vente de l’équipe Onclologie de Lilly Canada de manière éthique, en respectant la conformité et les valeurs fondamentales de Lilly.

Recruter, fidéliser et perfectionner les membres de l’équipe de vente.

Créer une culture d’équipe très performante dans laquelle tous les employés se sentent valorisés, entendus et respectés, indépendamment de la diversité de leurs points de vue, de leurs origines et de leurs identités sociales.

Encadrer l’équipe afin qu’elle atteigne un rendement élevé en développant des compétences de vente et en mettant l’accent sur l’excellence de l’exécution des stratégies de vente et de marketing.

Faire le suivi et l’évaluation de l’exécution afin d’assurer des activités sur le terrain optimales et de mobiliser la clientèle au moyen de plusieurs canaux, afin de pouvoir fidéliser les clients et favoriser l’adoption de nos marques chez les patients à qui elles conviennent.

Élaborer des plans d’action correspondant aux objectifs du district et à la stratégie de l’unité commerciale.

Veiller à la mobilisation de l’équipe et souligner le travail de ses membres.

Animer toutes les réunions des ventes du district et participer aux réunions d’équipes interfonctionnelles.

Représenter l’équipe de vente dans les activités annuelles de planification des ressources humaines (étalonnage du rendement, perfectionnement, gestion du rendement, etc.).

Veiller à ce que les renseignements sur les ventes soient intégrés au processus de planification de la clientèle et à d’autres initiatives stratégiques.

Gérer l’ensemble des budgets des ventes du district.

Diriger les interactions avec les principaux leaders d’opinion et les intervenants externes.

Encourager l’esprit d’innovation au sein de l’équipe commerciale pour pouvoir faire face à un contexte changeant.

Veiller à ce que l’équipe comprenne l’environnement actuel de la conformité, agisse dans le respect des directives et assume la responsabilité de tout écart par rapport aux directives.

Remettre en question les processus de Lilly Canada afin d’améliorer notre réactivité à l’égard des clients et d’optimiser notre efficacité.

Exigences de base Études et expérience

Diplôme universitaire, de préférence un diplôme d’études supérieures en sciences ou en commerce

Expérience de la vente et de la direction des ventes dans le secteur pharmaceutique pour diverses marques, de préférence pour des marques relatives aux maladies auto-immunes (dermatologie, rhumatologie,gastro-entérologie)

Expérience de direction d’une équipe, souhaitable

Compétences avérées en matière d’encadrement et de perfectionnement du personnel

Créativité éprouvée en matière de résolution de problèmes et de solutions axées sur les clients

Solides capacités d’analyse – expérience de la gestion stratégique du territoire, un atout

Capacités avérées en matière de gestion relative aux leaders d’opinion

Capacité à travailler efficacement dans l’ensemble de l’organisation

Bilinguisme parfait (français et anglais), un atout.
