The team

The Opportunity

The HR Strategy & Governance team is looking for an HR Transformation Consultant to join and implement project and change management best practices in order to maximize project team performance and ensure development of cohesive, comprehensive and clear roadmaps are in place. In this role, you will be responsible for driving projects using innovative and agile project management tools and techniques (through design, development and delivery stages) with a change management focus ensuring successful implementation of initiatives aligned with our transformation agenda while realizing impact. You will provide expertise in the transformational journey of the HR department to support an exceptional employee and client experience and deliver on HR’s commitment to continuous improvement.

Other responsibilities includes:

Collaborating with HR Operations and Centres of Expertise (CoEs) to provide insights and recommendations on what should be incubated for HR. Researching and providing recommendations on Project and Change Management best practices and innovative approaches to support HR strategic priorities. Establishing and maintaining processes for managing scope during project lifecycles, setting quality and performance standards and assessing risks. Ensuring coordination of key stakeholders to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget. Leading the development of project plans to support implementation of short and longer term strategic initiatives and new capabilities. Building tools, resources and templates to support delivery and facilitate knowledge transfer and upskilling within HR units (as appropriate) to enhance resource capabilities and growth. Leading and managing the work of project teams. Carrying out and coordinating project deliverables to meet milestones. Collaborating with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to meet project requirements.  Developing, updating and disseminating project documents and reports to be communicated to stakeholders. Supporting the design and implementation of the Change Management strategy and planning aligned with the strategic priorities of HR and its transformational journey. Managing the Change & Training Delivery for programs and initiatives under the scope of Strategy and Governance mandate (planning, content development, logistics and facilitation). Participating in planning and development meetings and activities relating to assigned projects. Assessing and measuring the success of delivered outcomes and making iterative changes that are necessary. 
 

Qualifications

Completion of a post-secondary degree, preferably in a human resources, business administration, or related programs. At least three (3) years of relevant work experience on HR Transformation Projects and full cycle project management.  Experience applying agile methodologies to project delivery. Experience identifying optimization opportunities, developing and implementing short and long-term strategic plans, including large scale projects and initiatives, management of junior resources, developing and implementing new or enhanced processes, and change management. Demonstrated experience developing reports, presentations, and providing recommendations. Experience leading projects, workshops and providing status updates to senior leaders and stakeholders. Experience in developing business requirements, process analysis and process improvement. Excellent project management skills, including planning, resource and budget scheduling, and risk management to lead concurrent projects; strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple initiatives with strong consulting skills to work across lines of business/regions to influence decisions for a positive outcome. Strong awareness of market innovations and trends; identifies improvements and extensions to existing HR programs, processes, and technology to enhance the overall HR client experience. Strong digital literacy, with the capabilities to envision and build new models, tools, and ways of working while leveraging technology and digital enablers. Strong entrepreneurial mindset, that relentlessly explores opportunities, tackles problems, discovers and implements new ways of working to achieve better outcomes. Relationship building and communication skills to work with clients and stakeholders not familiar with project management. Passion for change management and a solid understanding of how people go through a change journey. Strong analytical skills with an ability to identify potential problems and develop mitigating strategies. Demonstrated expertise in best practices as it relates to equity, diversity and inclusion in a workplace environment. Superior (oral / written) communication including strong presentation skills. Self-directed capabilities including demonstrable ability to work independently and as part of a high-performance team.
