Reporting to the Director of Credit – Distributed Products, this position is responsible for the day-to-day management of Brandt Tractor’s credit department.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Review and analyze credit applications for accuracy and completeness.
· Evaluate customer creditworthiness using credit scoring models, financial statements, and other relevant information.
· Make credit decisions or recommendations based on established guidelines and industry best practices.
· Conduct regular reviews of customer credit limits to ensure that they are in accordance with company policy and are reasonable in the circumstances.
· Oversee the collection of overdue accounts and manage the collections process.
· Negotiate payment terms with customers and resolve disputes or issues related to credit accounts.
· Maintain thorough documentation of credit decisions, customer communications, and collections efforts.
· Build excellent relationships with Division, Branch, and Sales Managers to encourage two-way communication on dealing with customers and effectively collect accounts.
· Work with Branch, Parts, and Service Managers to ensure they are aware of company credit policies.
· Communicate directly with customers to collect accounts, maintaining to the fullest extent possible positive customer relations.
· Prepare and maintain written company-wide credit policies and procedures to address granting of credit, credit limits, collections processes, and all necessary procedures for managing accounts receivable.
· Prepare and present monthly and quarterly reports on credit and collections performance, highlighting areas for improvement.
· Negotiate payment plans and settlements with delinquent customers, initiating legal actions when necessary.
· Continuously assess and improve credit processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
· Oversee the issuance of customer statements at the beginning of each month, and provide recommendations to improve accuracy and timeliness.

Required Experience
. Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
· Proven experience as a Credit Manager or similar role in credit and collections.
. Experience with credit analysis, risk management, and collections processes.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and credit management software.
. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed credit decisions.
