Responsibilities
What your day will look like
Waste Management Planning
Assistance in solid waste projects related to waste diversion programs, waste management planning and approvals, and waste management facilities Perform assessments, calculations, data collection, and data analysis to support planning and engineering activities. Assist project managers and liaise with waste management specialists, engineers, environmental scientists, and others on a variety of multidisciplinary design teams (including project engineers, planners, biologists, technologists, . Field work related to construction observation, data collection, and inspection. Coordinate and manage project tasks, budgets and schedules.Learning & Development
Commit to self-development and ongoing learning and professional development. Contribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees.
Qualifications
What you will need to succeed
A degree in engineering, environmental sciences or planning. 2 - 5 years of experience in solid waste management, preferably within a consulting environment.
Experience
Strong verbal and written communications skills, and keen attention to detail. Aptitude to learn. Ability to understand and work with relevant provincial and federal environmental legislation, environmental policies, codes and standards. Ability to apply criteria to analytical data. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint is an assetWhy choose Dillon
