The Role:
The Records Specialist role supports the successful operation of the Records Management Program by assisting in the development and maintenance of efficient records management practices, procedures and policies, as well as providing superior customer service to all staff at Bennett Jones while maintaining day-to-day responsibilities.
Essential Functions:
• Maintain accurate information in the Records Manager System• Answer and process requests via e-mail and phone• Scan and process electronic closing book requests• Scan minute books and handle other scanning projects as they arise• Process requests to create labels and folders• Internal file moves• Utilize internal systems to manage offsite content and location, including processing a large capacity of boxed files for offsite storage • Managing records through our offsite storage facility, along with completing internal file retrieval requests• Ensure data complies in accordance with relevant regulations• Process and respond to inquiries from internal and external clients• Manage vault deposit and withdrawal requests• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Two years of experience in a law firm an asset• Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry software• Able to analyze a variety of circumstances and be solution oriented• Strong organizational skills• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Able to work independently as well as in a team environment• Keen attention to detail• Strong customer service skills• Kofax software experience an asset• Able to lift 35 poundsWe have other current jobs related to this field that you can find below
