Emil Anderson Maintenance | Skeena is seeking applications for winter highway maintenance workers/labourers in the Terrace, Kitimat and Nass areas. This is a seasonal, full-time position consisting of manual labour and operating plow trucks. Multiple positions available.

Responsibilities:

Operate in accordance to and uphold Emil Anderson Group (EAG) Core Values in all aspects of your work. Uphold an unwavering commitment to developing a zero-injury culture, and meeting the Paving the Way to Zero goals Removal of snow and ice by safely using snow removal and/or sanding equipment Completion of pre-trip and post trip inspections Changing snowplow blades Patching potholes and jackhammering Doing maintenance and minor service works on vehicles Digging out plugged drains, maintaining shrubbery, and picking up litter Any other duties as required

Qualifications:

Working safely is a condition of employment Minimum class 3 with air brake endorsement Previous snow plowing and heavy equipment experience is an asset Valid Occupational First Aid Level 1 an asset Willing to workdays, nights, weekends and holidays O.T work required in the event of a snowstorm Clean drivers abstract Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors Acknowledge this position can be labour intensive Willing to work outside in all weather conditions

Qualified applicants are required to provide current ICBC “N” drivers abstract along with their resume.

Union Wages and Benefits $28.29 to $37.23
