Responsibilities:
  • Perform installations, removals, and service calls as scheduled
  • Coordinate and deliver the Company service training program to appropriate staff
  • Coach and counsel employees on an ongoing basis: praise good performance and develop performance plans to assist Technicians where they have shortcomings. Appropriately and expeditiously address any behavior or performance issues
  • Enforce performance standards amongst the service staff with respect to callbacks, completions per day, first-time completion percentages, and overall productivity
  • Review monthly Service Technician Bonus and weekly Technician points to optimize utilization
  • Personally, attend to and rectify any recurring service or policy/procedure issues brought forward by customers
  • Spend a minimum of 15% of the time in the field performing “Ride Along Training Missions” with Service Technicians to establish proficiency levels and develop plans to address areas of deficiency
  • Coordinate site evaluations of damage claims; work with local and corporate management on filing paperwork and follow-up relating to general liability, fleet accidents, and worker compensation claims
  • Schedule service staff for after-hours and emergency call work as necessary
  • Circulate and explain all service tip sheets and product bulletins to service and installation staff; provide technical support to all Service Techs and Installers
  • Complete all required Health and safety training and conduct monthly communication/toolbox meetings,
  • Perform annual performance evaluations to review job performance, technician levels, discuss progression, and advise of pay increases, as applicable
What we're looking for:
  • Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
  • Three to five years of service experience with a strong understanding of the business and day to day operations.
  • Previous Supervisor or Manager experience a strong asset
  • Computer proficiency required, including strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Self-motivated with extraordinary work ethic
  • Strong organizational, communication, customer service, and team-building skills are essential
  • Plumbing and/or service technician experience in the water treatment equipment sector
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract is required
