Key Responsibilities
  • Adjust, repair, or replace components of commercial transport truck systems
  • Collaborate with supervisors to assess whether to repair or replace units
  • Engage in discussions regarding work with supervisors
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to identify faults and malfunctions
  • Conduct operational inspections of motors
  • Review work orders for clarity and completeness
  • Perform road tests on motor vehicles
  • Evaluate automotive systems and components
  • Execute repairs and adjustments on automotive and truck-trailer systems
  • Repair or replace mechanical units or components as necessary
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to meet manufacturer specifications
  • Estimate costs for parts and labor for vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Carry out scheduled maintenance services
  • Provide recommendations to customers regarding work performed and future maintenance needs
  • Document problems and work completed in reports
  • Deliver excellent customer service
