The Opportunity

We are looking for a Middle School (grades 7-9) Guidance Counsellor , who understands the needs of Middle School learners, and lives and breathes our values, to join our Student Services Department, starting September 1, . If you are that person, you will be in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers, and have:

Completed Guidance Specialist Qualifications. A strong foundation in a guidance role, helping students with executive functioning, pathway planning, solution focused and short term counselling, social and emotional skills development and relationship building with parents and teachers. Experience in individual and group counselling A solid grasp of Culturally Responsive - Social Emotional Learning (CR-SEL) programming, and support services and understand the critical socio-emotional needs of middle school students as they begin their unique journeys at UTS. Special Education Qualifications as an added asset.
