We are looking for a Middle School (grades 7-9) Guidance Counsellor, who understands the needs of Middle School learners, and lives and breathes our values, to join our Student Services Department**, starting September 1, 2024**. If you are that person, you will be in good standing with the **Ontario College of Teachers,** and have:
- completed **Guidance Specialist Qualifications.**- A strong foundation in a guidance role, helping students with executive functioning, pathway planning, solution focused and short term counselling, social and emotional skills development and relationship building with parents and teachers.-
- Experience in individual and group counselling-
- a solid grasp of Culturally Responsive - Social Emotional Learning (CR-SEL) programming, and support services and understand the critical socio-emotional needs of middle school students as they begin their unique journeys at UTS.-
