Nestled at the base of Blackcomb Mountain, just two hours north of Downtown Vancouver, Fairmont Chateau Whistler defines mountain luxury. Offering ski-in, ski-out convenience in the winter, and an on-site championship golf course in the summer, we are Canada’s year-round outdoor adventure destination. Additionally, we are Whistler's largest conference resort hotel, offering 5 unique dining outlets, a slope-side Health Club, and 519 guestrooms and suites.
Job Description
Our In-Room Dining Captain is responsible for assisting in the daily management of the In-Room Dining department, maximizing service delivery in all areas of the outlet, and ensuring the principles of the Resort Experience are extended to all guests.
Starting Rate of Pay: $19.00
We recognize tenure through our compensation - hourly rates increase after 6 months and then yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $23.35 per hour.
Job Duties Include:
Ensure all accounts are being processed accurately and in a timely manner Ensure daily smooth operation of the department, maintaining high staff morale and team spirit Monitor labour on a daily basis Participate in the training and coaching of new and existing team members Provide support to the management team and F&B Division as requiredQualifications
Supervisory experience in a food and beverage department Experience in an In-Room Dining position is an asset Serving It Right Leadership and motivational skills are required
