Legal Assistant (Laborand Employment Law)

Weare looking for a legal assistant specialized in labor andemployment law for a 12month maternity leave replacement on behalfof our client a recognized law firm. This is an opportunity to joina dynamic team and collaborate in a flexible humancenteredenvironment.

Annual salary between $60000 and $70000 depending onexperience.
Position for a12month maternity leave replacement fulltime (35 hours perweek).

Responsibilities:

Proactively support professionals in managing and following up ontheir cases.
Coordinate schedulesand ensure necessary followups for appointments meetings hearingsevents and committees.
Ensuredeadlines are met and follow up on client files anddeliverables.
Make reminders andfollowups with current and potential clients in a professional andcourteous manner.
Preparerequired documentation for various plannedevents.
Transcribe dictationsproofread and correct documents.
Manage file openings and billing.
Prepare expense allocations.
Perform other administrative tasks asneeded.

Whatyou will need tosucceed:

Degree in secretarial studies legal secretarial studies orequivalent training.
Minimum ofthree (3) years experience in legal secretarial work ideally inlabor and employment law.
Bilingual in English and French (spoken and written) to assistlawyers in both languages.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite especially Word(intermediate/advanced level) Outlook andExcel.
Familiarity with Ma treand iManage Work 10 software (anasset).
Excellent clientorientation courtesy andprofessionalism.
Responsibilityattention to detail and good organizationalskills.
Ability to managemultiple files simultaneously and prioritizeeffectively.
Team spirit and asense ofinitiative.
