An excitingopportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic, self-motivated,flexible individual to join our infection prevention and control (IPC) team.

Thepost holder will support the team with data management and lead and supportquality improvement projects, delivering the transformation required inInfection, Prevention and Control services in line with NHSE/I national,regional and other IPC priorities. Youwill develop, deliver and monitor robust project management plans ensuring fullengagement of all partners and incorporating best practice from regional andnational partners. You will need to have proven leadership and managementqualities.

Thesuccessful applicant will be required to work autonomously and as part of theteam and in partnership healthcare and social care providers across Kent andMedway, including NHS England, UK Health Security Agency and Kent and Medway local will require the ability to work in a dynamic, flexible and organised manner, delivering a highly visible and responsive service across the K&M system,

Main duties of the job

Theprimary duty of the postholder is to work within the ICB IPC team analysing dataand producing reports, whilst responsible for leading various qualityimprovement projects.

Tolead and coordinate data management and a variety of projects which support theprovision of well-coordinated, high quality and equitable services. Working collaborativelywith stakeholders to develop, manage and deliver projects, ensuring timely completion.

You will develop working relationships with other Nursing and Quality functions within the ICB and external partners, The individual will be required to work closely with internal and external partners to manage and deliver projects, ensuring completion of relevant project documentations.

Applicants should have substantial experience in IT, data and project management. All applicants will hold a first level degree or diploma and relevant certification required in these speciality areas. You should demonstrate a sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerBi, project management and IT skills, and are prepared to adapt to new ways of working, travel across partner organisations.

The post holder will be required to operateflexibly within the ICB IPC team as well as the nursing and quality directorateto ensure wider engagement and promotion of partnership working. When necessary, present data and projectoutputs at various meetings.

Job responsibilities

The role sits within theIntegrated Care Board (ICB) Infection Prevention and Control (IPC). However,this team often works in a matrix and theremay be times when you are required to interface with and support other projectareas within the ICB.

To lead and coordinate datamanagement and a variety of projects which support the provision of well-coordinated, high quality and equitable services; delivering thetransformation required in Infection, Prevention and Control services in line with NHSE/I national, regional, and otherIPC priorities. The postholder will develop, deliver,and monitor robust project management plans ensuring full engagement of allpartners and incorporating best practice from regional and nationalpartners.

Working closely withmembers of the Kent and Medway Infection Prevention and Control teams andproject stakeholders to develop, manage and deliver projects, ensuringcompletion of relevant project documentation. The Analytics Project Lead will ensure that key stakeholders are included and engagedin the process.

To be responsible formonitoring, development,and achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)and agreed outcomes of projects.

Supporting the developmentof new contract specifications and / or contract variations throughcollaborating and working with Providers, Contracts team, Quality team, ClinicalLeads, Senior Managers, and other stakeholders.

To actively promotequality improvement in the delivery of projects and services and work withstakeholders to reduce health inequalities for patients.

To ensure that approachesused by the project team are informed by national and best practice in healthand social care.

To support the Kent andMedway InfectionPrevention and Control to work in partnership with theLocal Authority, Providers/Trusts, other commissioners, and stakeholders(including NHS England) to ensure seamless pathways of care for patients.

To support the researchand review of new and emerging evidence-based practice, benchmarking, nationalpolicy, legislation, and guidance in order to advise the ICB and projectstakeholders on how national initiatives can be addressed and implementedlocally.

To support and lead thedelivery of transformation projects in line with the NHS Long Term Planmanaging resources and providing subject matter expertise to ensure thatrequired outcomes are achieved.

Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area Evidence of 3+ years experience using SQL & PowerBi Evidence of 5+ years of Excel and other IT skills.
