As a certified 4th ClassPower Engineer you will perform highly diversified duties toinstall troubleshoot repair and maintain the propertys facilitiesand equipment to ensure a safe and functional environment for ourguests and colleagues.

Whatyou will bedoing:

  • Consistentlyoffer professional engaging and friendlyservice
  • Inspect and perform preventativemaintenance on propertys facilities andequipment
  • Complete all assigned PreventativeMaintenance Orders and Daily Work Orders in atimely and efficient manner
  • Take daily readingsof the boiler house chiller plant water entry roometc.
  • Inspect all areas of the property forsafety issues and take immediate correctiveaction
  • Assist guests regarding propertyfacilities in an informative and helpfulway
  • Monitor the hotels energy management goalsin conjunction with Fairmont and ownershipstandards
  • Promptly respond and follow up toguest and colleague requests to resolve problems and prevent futureissues
  • Uphold the highest standard of internaland external customer service at alltimes
  • Support and follow the HotelsHealth & Safety mission andprogram
  • Actively participate and promote theCompanys sustainability and environmentalprogram
  • Work closely with the Chief Engineerand team to assist with the successful completion of projects andrenovations
  • Follow all other policiesprocedures and standards of the Hotel andCompany
  • Perform all other duties asassigned

Qualifications:

Yourexperience and skillsinclude:

  • Level 4 PowerEngineer Certificate required
  • Relevant buildingmaintenance experience is an asset
  • Pooloperators certificate or experience in pool maintenance and chemistry is a strongasset
  • Other trade qualifications includingcarpentry HVAC plumbing electrical etc. anasset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Officeapplications including Word Outlook Excel and industryrelatedsoftware
  • Knowledge of building codes fire andhealth department regulations
  • Knowledge ofenergy management building automation systems and digitalfire control systems
  • Strongorganizational interpersonal and problem solvingabilities
  • Highly responsible &reliable
  • Must be a selfstarter andselfmotivator with ability to takeinitiative
  • Excellent interpersonal written andverbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintainpositive and objective outlook in challengingsituations
  • Must be physically fit andwellgroomed
  • Ability to lead by example with aconsistently high standard ofperformance
  • Ability to work a flexible scheduleincluding weekends evenings overnights rotatingshifts extended hours and available foremergencies
