Job Summary

We are seeking a Maintenance Power Engineer to join our Facilities Maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a unique environment where you will be responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of our plant, ensuring compliance with various codes and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate heating and air conditioning systems, starting up and shutting down related pumps, fans, air compressors, and pneumatic systems.
  • Monitor and adjust temperature control systems and record meter and gauge readings.
  • Check and repair equipment such as hot and cold water lines, waste lines, sewer lines, sumps, sterilizers, ovens, warmers, and distribution lines.
  • Perform preventive and demand maintenance on steam and hot water heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems.
Requirements
  • Certificate of competency as a 4th Class Power Engineer recognized by the Province of British Columbia.
  • Two years' recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
