Requisition ID: Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture. “Pursuant to a language needs assessment conducted by Scotiabank, the successful candidate will be required to be able to communicate in English, in addition to French, because they will be required to work closely with other groups from head office who operate primarily in English, they will report to a manager from head office who is an English speaker, and they will serve an English-speaking clientele frequently.” As a Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for managing the relationship with the SM Quebec Region, by providing operational support to the business, focusing on day-to-day issue management and adjudication, initiative support, training, and education of colleagues. You will be required to liaise between the Quebec Region Branches and Canadian Wealth Management Operations (CWMO) with a focus on process improvement, project management and general operational support. In this role you will:Represent the Quebec Region in strategic and tactical decisions for new and ongoing initiatives, as well as regular occurrences of business processesShare best practices and/or processes that CWMO are facilitatingAct as the Quebec Region’s first point of contact for any escalationsBe aware and intune with any special Quebec only requirements or any upcoming large-scale impacts to CWMOMaintain the dashboard of CWMO metricsReinforce centrally issued operations communications for the Quebec Region ensuring up-to-date information is disseminated to branch leadership Host regular calls between regional leadership, branch management and CWMO, creating the agenda, hosting the call, and managing any action item follow-upDevelop and maintain partnerships with key internal partners such as other operational teams, technology, compliance, and other Wealth Management business partners as well as external industry peers to influence business decision making on operational policy and processProvide support with the implementation and documentation of operational processes and procedures including writing and editing documentationThe Must Haves:Must be fully bilingual in French and EnglishUniversity degree required5+ years of relevant work experienceExperience in an investment/brokerage operations environment is requiredKnowledge of Wealth Applications is an asset such as Broadridge, Salesforce, Score, Charles River Project Management experience is an assetIntermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office, Visio, Excel, Adobe Acrobat Professional is requiredExperience with managing a team and developing talentExperience working with technology partnersDo you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We’d love to work with you if you have:Effective communication skills Strong relationship management skills to build and maintain strong relationships with various stakeholdersAn ability to influence towards delivering innovative, results-focused solutions that are in line with the goals of the businessAn ability to speak confidently with various senior leadersEffective communications skills both verbal and writtenStrong people skillsAn ability to set clear expectations and work with deadlinesStrong analytical skills with the ability to understand the various elements of operations and identify the problem and propose a solutionPro-active in your quest for knowledge of operations, with a strong strategic thinking capability, think outside the box, problem solve and multi-taskThe ability to work independently and prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently, without direct input or oversightThe ability to work effectively in a group environment across various operations, front office, and functional areas Location(s): Canada : Quebec : Montreal Scotiabank is a leading bank in the Americas.
