Summary:

As a key member of GFL’s Business Development team, you will be committed to enhancing our client relationships and growing our market share. You will be relied upon to source new business with prospective and existing clients and will instill confidence in our customers that they are dealing with the industry leader. This position will focus primarily on growing our customer base within the Oil & Gas sector landscape via our Waste & Waste Processing division. The chosen individual will thrive in this challenging, competitive, ever-changing business environment.

This position will be focused on central Alberta, but additional travel may be required throughout the province. The successful candidate will need to adhere to a 70/30 travel split, with the travel and schedule primarily determined by the hired individual (99% of the time).

Job Duties

Seek out business development with new and existing clients.

Analyze customer needs and present solutions utilizing a thorough understanding of our diverse service offerings.

Always represent the company in a professional manner to ensure every opportunity is taken to promote the brand.

Ensure exemplary customer satisfaction and act as a liaison between customer and operational staff.

Provide market intelligence regarding competitors and pricing strategies.

Formulate business plans and strategies to meet business development targets.

Requirements

Proven business development and/or sales experience in a competitive, demanding business sector

A passion for business excellence with exceptional follow through

Oil and gas experience would be a strong asset but not required.

Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract
