Our exemplary client is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to creating a collaborative and respectful work place. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Human Resources Specialist with a focus in payroll to join this fantastic team in the Fraser Valley area.


Responsibilities:

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure all payroll transactions are recorded accurately.
  • Update employee schedules
  • Assist with internal postings etc.
  • Stay updated on payroll laws and regulations affecting non-profit organizations.
  • Ensure payroll practices are compliant with legal and organizational policies.
  • Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  • Support the HR team with employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Generate payroll reports and provide data analysis to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll administration, preferably within the non-profit sector.
  • Proficiency with payroll software.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Other Qualifications:

  • Certified Payroll Designation an asset.
  • Experience with HRIS systems.
  • Familiarity with non-profit financial and accounting practices.
