Summary of Role: 

  • New Business Development - Securing new customers is a key activity where applicant has in-depth knowledge of the Industrial Markets in Quebec and the Maritimes
  • Usage of Saleforce CRM package to identify and create opportunities with large accounts with key focus on OEM's
  • Conduct daily face to face sales appoinments with supplied vehicle as well as teams meetings to promote and sell CT's products
  • Manage distribution and establish buddy calls to help them sell our products.  Win them over by providing leads and having them follow up. 
  • Nurture existing business to the point where inside sales can manage day to day inquiry, but keep an eye on activities and sales traffic.  Be ever ready as escalation path.  
  • Learn and keep current on company's products from a technical, application, pricing and selling benefits standpoint
  • Prepare monthly sales forecast and target account pipeline updates for assigned accounts directly served by this position within the CRM system. 
  • Attend weekly team meetings to go over activity, define issues, and work with the team to close the sale.  
  • Learn and demonstrate CT standard demo equipment and train customers in applications, features and benefits of products and how they compare to competitive products
  • Be proficient at doing power point presentations. 
  • Follow up on assigned leads and enter resultes into CRM. Aggresively pursue the most promising opportunities
  • Assist with CT sponsored trade shows
  • Learn current sales process's and policy's
  • Must be willing to travel as needed for sales engagment, meetings and training
  • Have the appetite of a hunter.  

Travel Requirements: 

  • Local travel with company supplied vehicle to visit customers.  Depending on locations of customers, this role may require overnight stays. 
  • International travel may be necessary for sales meetings and training. 

Education: 

  • Preferred - 4 year engineering degree or diploma (or equivelant work experience), plus sales courses.  
  • Must be proficient in sales and understand how to convince customers - Essential.
  • Applicant must be a permanent resident of Canada and must hold either a Permanent Resident Card or have Canadian Citizenship.
  • Applicant must be able to travel both locally and internationally.

Experience: 

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience is required in selling VFD’s, and automation products. 
  • Must have a good understanding of automation and the Industry.
  • Must be able to engage the company’s internal engineering resources for assistance as needed and be able to communicate requirements of customers.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft office software.
  • Candidate must be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Candidate must have a proven track record of developing new customers and increasing sales revenue and market share.
