Senior Training Specialist

Pay range C$300 - 390/Day
Work Type: Hybrid, 7.25 hours per calendar day, 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM (excluding breaks) Monday to Friday
About the Role: As a Senior Training Specialist, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and delivering training programs for Justice Video Network (JVN) technologies. You will ensure that end-users are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively utilize these technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training Program Development: Coordinate and lead the development of training programs, including e-learning modules, manuals, and on-site/virtual training.
- Training Delivery: Deliver training to JVN end-users, ensuring effective knowledge transfer.
- Business Analysis: Analyze business requirements and user needs to inform training program design.
- User Acceptance Testing: Coordinate and assist with the development and execution of user acceptance testing.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Training Expertise: 10+ years of experience in adult training and instructional design.
- Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of audio and videoconferencing technology, both hardware and software.
- Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and facilitation skills.
- Technical Writing: Ability to write clear and concise training materials.
- E-Learning Development: Experience with Adobe Captivate or similar e-learning authoring tools.
- Public Sector Experience: Experience working in a public sector environment.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Adult Education: Knowledge of adult education principles and practices.
- Software Applications: Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, and web-based facilitation tools.
- AODA Compliance: Familiarity with AODA requirements for e-learning and written manuals.
