As a Contract Coordinator you will provide subject matter guidance and consultation support to Parks and Open Spaces business unit with agreements relating to the Enhanced Landscape Council Policy and the Parks and Pathways Bylaw as well as other issues that arise. Primary duties include:

Develop and prepare agreements for review and execution. Review, collaborate and negotiate all Parks agreement requests to ensure both the Council Policy and Parks and Pathways Bylaw provides the required authority and governance to allow Parks to enter into agreements. Lead, implement, and evaluate agreement processes. Provide guidance and consultation in the preparation of agreement Standard Operating Procedures. Collaborate and gather information from all interested parties to ensure due diligence has been completed prior to preparing and issuing an agreement, prior to negotiating Planning, Law and RE&DS on the agreement type and requirements. Issue invoices and reconcile financial data relating to agreement compliance and obligations to ensure adherence of agreement terms and conditions. Negotiate with the parties and the Law until the clauses of the draft agreement are satisfactory. Review, approve, and interpret the content of the draft agreement and negotiate the final execution with the parties. Qualifications  An undergraduate degree in Business, Communications, Law or a related field and at least 5 years of experience in legal agreement management, negotiation, policy and communications with external groups. Understanding of legal agreements, experience directing other, finding solutions within policy and process and experience managing financials and working with financial systems is required. A valid Class 5 Driver's License (or provincial equivalent) with no more than 6 demerits and no charges or suspensions pending is required. Experience with Public One Stop Service Experience (POSSE), GIS Mapping, Land Use Bylaw 1P2007 and planning principles are considered an asset. Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office (Advance); Negotiation skills, and Conflict Management Skills. Ability to understand, interpret and communicate complex information about construction activities. Well-developed facilitation, communication, conflict resolution and consensus building skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with others to develop appropriate strategies and solutions. Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills along with demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to adapt to constantly changing priorities in a limited timeframe.
