The IT Operations Risk Analyst/Manager will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with IT operations. This role ensures that the company's IT infrastructure is secure, compliant, and resilient to operational risks. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with IT, security, compliance, and business operations teams to enforce policies, conduct risk assessments, and implement risk control measures.
Key Responsibilities:

Risk Identification and Assessment:

  • Conduct regular risk assessments of IT infrastructure, applications, and processes.
  • Identify potential vulnerabilities in IT systems that may impact business operations.
  • Analyze operational incidents and failures to identify root causes and risk implications.

Risk Mitigation:

  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to reduce operational risks related to IT infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the timely resolution of security vulnerabilities and operational gaps.
  • Implement security measures, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity strategies.

Policy Development:

  • Assist in the development and enforcement of IT risk management policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO, NIST).

Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Monitor IT systems and operations for potential risk exposures and emerging threats.
  • Develop and present risk reports to senior management, outlining identified risks, mitigation strategies, and recommendations.
  • Track and report on key risk indicators (KRIs) and ensure alignment with the organization's risk appetite.

Incident Management:

  • Collaborate with IT teams to handle operational incidents, including root cause analysis, risk assessment, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Assist in coordinating incident response, recovery, and post-mortem reviews.

Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to internal and external IT governance, risk, and compliance frameworks.
  • Coordinate audits related to IT risk and compliance, ensuring proper documentation and remediation actions are in place.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in IT risk management, operations, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networks, applications, and operational risk.
  • Knowledge of risk management frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, COBIT).
  • Experience with incident management, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
  • Familiarity with compliance regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, SOX) and IT governance.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CRISC, CISM, CISSP) are a plus.

  • Experience with risk management tools and software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to managing IT risks.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
