Health and Safety Administrator

Job Title: Health & Safety Administrator
Location: Brantford, ON
Pay Rate: $25.00/hour + 4% vacation pay
Type: Temporary (3-6 months with the opportunity for permanent)
Hours of Work: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm, onsite
Responsibilities:
- Investigate major incidents for severity and frequency and support the line team with minor incidents/accidents, near misses, etc.
- Conduct health and safety audits and inspections.
- Conduct training and orientation for new hires on health and safety protocols.
- Maintain safety records and documentation.
- Assist with safety-related administrative tasks, including filing and data entry.
- Facilitate and participate in safety meetings.
Qualifications:
- Experience in occupational health and safety, preferably in a manufacturing/industrial setting.
- Post-secondary education in health and safety.
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
