We are partnering with a public accounting firm that's looking to add a Staff Accountant to their growing team. This is a full-time/permanent position located in the Ottawa-East area.

Responsibilities:


-Accurately process and prepare Notice to Readers and Review Engagements

-Efficiently manage corporate, personal, and estate tax returns along with HST/GST tax returns

-Regularly communicate with clients to address their questions and concerns

-Liaise with CRA on behalf of clients and follow up on any outstanding matters

-Conduct research and analyze income tax queries using Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks

-Utilize skills in 'Notice to Reader' and 'Review Engagements' for corporate tax return preparation.


-Post secondary education in Accounting or in a related field

-2+ years of public accounting experience is required

-Bilingual in both official languages is a strong asset

-Proficient in Microsoft Excel

-Experience with QuickBooks software

-Familiarity with Notice to Reader financial statements

-Knowledge of Review Engagements

-Experience in preparing Corporate Tax Returns

-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

-High attention to detail and accuracy

-Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
