As the Talent Advisor – Campus Programs , you will build on, and execute our North American campus strategy. In this role, you will drive the recruitment strategy for co-ops, interns, and new graduates across all areas of our business. Your proven experience will be foundational as you leverage relationships you have built with post-secondary schools to maximize the potential of partnerships to support growth across our business, with a focus on new and developing tech skills.
You are driven by finding and engaging the future superstars of Softchoice. Success in this role requires building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, schools, partners, and talent. In addition, creating a strong “Softchoice” brand presence at targeted campuses across North America will be a critical part of this role. You will be the face of Softchoice on campus building relationships with candidates and partners.
What you’ll do:
Build on, design, and execute our end-to-end campus talent acquisition program Execute a best-in-class campus recruitment strategy for co-ops, interns, and new graduates across all lines of business with a focus on developing tech skills. Gain solid understanding of our business to proactively develop and execute effective campus recruitment strategies. Leverage, develop and maintain strong campus liaison relationships with current and new/potential schools and programs. Research and source new academic partners in Canada and the US that align to our future talent strategy. Create and deliver engaging presentations on and off-campus as well as planning, managing, and executing in person and virtual events. Attend on campus events across Toronto & the GTA with the intention of recruiting talent & building brand awareness. Increase brand awareness across campuses across Canada & the US supporting our brand and career growth opportunities. Build and maintain a pipeline of suitable candidates across various geographies through all stages of the student and early career recruiting pipeline. Screen, shortlist candidates, conduct and lead interview process, manage debrief discussions and offer processes (includes compensation recommendation and offer negotiation). On-board and support all new students and ensure their engagement and development during their term at Softchoice. Create & deliver learning sessions to enhance student’s professional & personal development during their co-op term. Create student communities for past, present and students to programmatically guide them from student to full-time Softchoice status.What you’ll bring to the table:
“Been there and done that” when it comes to building and delivering a successful campus program. Strong relationships with school liaisons in both Canada and the US. Experience in attracting student talent for developing technology roles. A creative and innovative approach and can flow and operate between designing and executing. A high level of comfort presenting to internal and external stakeholders, partners, and candidates. An understanding of what resonates with the students of today and tomorrow. Experience executing projects on a large scale. Successfully manage several competing priorities while meeting expected timelines. Solution oriented with a strong sense of urgency. You like things done yesterday Articulate in both written and verbal communication skills. Ability to build credibility and strong relationships with hiring managers and sales leaders 2+ years as a recruitment professional executing full life cycle recruitment 2+ years of delivering successful campus recruitment programs in a previous organization
