The Talent Acquisition Coordinator coordinates the full cycle recruitment process for full-time Support Staff vacancies providing operational expertise, guidance, and support to leaders to ensure that Sheridan is identifying, engaging, and hiring top talent.

The incumbent also coordinates the centralized part-time faculty hiring process with assigned faculties ensuring staffing needs are met and provides support to recruitment related process improvement and productivity initiatives that create a positive hiring experience.

**What You’ll Be Doing**
- Coordinating recruitment requests and activities in support of part-time hiring within academic faculties;
- Conducting full cycle recruitment of full-time Support Staff competitions;
- Responding to internal and external HR inquiries on a range of issues for the department;
- Resolving problems and using good judgement to determine which inquiries should be escalated;
- Ensuring systematic collection, analysis and tracking of required recruitment documents to complete salary calculations and references; populating rate data in PeopleSoft;
- Administering recruitment activities for part time support staff;
- Supporting implementation of new initiatives, process improvements and other projects related to Talent Acquisition and accountable for project results;
- Developing tools, systems, and processes to effectively track, manage, and engage with potential talent/applicants and clients.

- 3 year College diploma or University degree in Human Resources (HR), Social Sciences, or related field along with 1 year of work experience in a related HR/Talent Acquisition role (Equivalency to be considered);
- Experience working on projects and managing multiple priorities with challenging deadlines;
- Compliance focused with the ability to interpret policies, procedures, and collective agreements;
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience working with applicant tracking systems and social networking tools;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) with effective presentation/facilitation skills;
- Ability to work independently with an analytical approach to problem solving.
