SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

Mammoet is currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to support our Equipment Maintenance Department team at our Edmonton branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for timely and effective organization and maintenance of the pick-up truck fleet, to minimize downtime, decrease costs, and maximize return on investment while maintaining the highest level of safety and maintenance standards on the equipment according to all Mammoet SHE-Q, business and quality standards, policies, and procedures.


WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Responsibilities (including but not limited to)

Maintenance of Pickup truck Fleet (Edmonton, Calgary, Fort McMurray, Pincher Creek, Regina, Grande Prairie, Kitimat, Fort St. John, Bonnyville)

Create maintenance orders, update, upload documents, and close orders Analyze and compute cost vs value on repairs before proceeding Create corresponding purchase orders to vendors for repairs Communication and distribution of maintenance orders to mechanics Progressively trying to improve aftermarket equipment (historical track records on maintenance and repairs) to be proactive and decrease future downtime Communicate and coordinate repairs and concerns to vendors to minimize downtime. After-hours support for breakdowns for pickup Update Fleet Center and C track (GPS) for driver maintenance File all maintenance records in unit files Ensure updated insurance and registration are in all units Coordinating new Insurance pink cards and prorate registrations Coordinate lost or damaged replacement plates and registrations Organizing and managing spare key box for truck fleet Coordinate body repairs, create PO for damaged units, and cost analysis on repairs valuation

Coordination of Vehicles for Auctions

Requesting asset numbers for the sale of vehicles Creating invoices - to offset proceeds from auctions

Fleet planning

Forecast for ordering/decommissioning of vehicles Monitoring units for 6-month forecast, to be performed monthly Providing updates and spreadsheets for fleet reporting to branches and Plan, organize, and issue units for shutdowns

Coordinating of Lease Buyouts

Monitoring of when leases are due Requesting asset numbers to be created Issuing of purchase orders for lease buyouts

Ordering Units/Updating Plant and Status (Active Vs. Deactivated)

Creating new unit files SAP input of registration, bill of sale, extended warranty Issuing purchase orders for each vendor in Coordinating the outfitting and logistics of units Requesting unit numbers for new units Updating minor changes to core equipment Build and create specs for new outfitting of vehicles

 Issuance of Vehicles

Perform, scan, and save Issuances for unit Furnishing branches with issuances, 360 walkarounds by means of the daily condition report (DCR)
WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

Previous purchasing experience as an asset Previous vehicle mechanical and maintenance experience as an asset SAP would be an asset, but willing to train
